Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant required by the body that must be obtained from the diet (in fruits and vegetables, especially acerola cherries), as the body cannot produce vitamin C. It fights oxidation in blood, protects LDL (“bad”) cholesterol against oxidation, increases the body’s resistance to oxidative stress and protects against vitamin B12 deficiency.

However, overdosing of Vitamin C in the synthetic form (ascorbic acid, citric acid) will lead to heart and liver diseases.
