Research has shown that just 100grams of blueberries could deliver the equivalent antioxidant capacity of five servings of fruits and vegetables. One cup of blueberries has antioxidant activity comparable to three cups of orange segments or five cups of chopped spinach. On top of that, blueberry contains resveratrol, a potent antioxidant about 20-50 times more effective than vitamin C. Resveratrol also works in synergy with vitamin C, enhancing each other’s effects.
